Why she dances:

“Dance is art in motion. There are things and themes you can express on stage in your movement without words.”

Most embarrassing dance moment:

“A really awful fall during a show of Nutcracker. I went to do a tour jete and found myself staring at the floor instead of the audience.”

Born in Huntington Beach, CA, Patricia Keleher began her dance training at the age of 10 studying at Southland Ballet Academy. At the age of 12, she moved to continue her studies on scholarship at Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington DC under the direction of Yelena Vinogradova. At 15, she moved to San Francisco where she began training at the San Francisco Ballet School under the direction of Helgi Tomasson and Lola de Avila. She was named an apprentice with the San Francisco Ballet for the 2010-2011 Season, then as a member of the corps de ballet for the 2011-2012 Season. Some of her favorite roles include Molly in John Neumeier’s Yondering and Lilac Fairy in Tomasson’s Sleeping Beauty (performed in her graduating performance). She has also had the pleasure of dancing works by such choreographers as George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Jerome Robbins and John Cranko among others.
