Charlotte, N.C. (May 1, 2007) –  North Carolina Dance Theatre is proud to announce the addition of three new staff members: Logan McSwain, communications manager; Ayisha McMillan, patron relations associate; and Sarah Keach, development associate.

Sarah Keach joins N.C. Dance Theatre as development associate. Keach’s responsibilities will include managing annual fund gifts and coordinating special events. The Charlotte native is a 2006 graduate of Elon University where she studied sociology, dance and anthropology and participated in American Dance Festival. She arrived at N.C. Dance Theatre in August 2006 as an event planning, development and communications intern, before joining the staff as an administrative assistant.

Ayisha McMillan joins N.C. Dance Theatre as patron relations associate. McMillan is enjoying her transition from her career in dance to a career in communications and marketing. Her last performance as a dancer with North Carolina Dance Theatre will be in Rhythm & Moves, May 17-19. Her professional dance career began in Oak Park, Illinois at the Momenta Dance Company, where she trained in early American modern dance and ballet with Stephanie Clemens. As a dancer with Houston Ballet she toured and performed in many different countries. Her five seasons with N.C Dance Theatre have included her debut as the company’s first African American Clara in Nutcracker, and her memorable role as Tinkerbell in Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux’s Peter Pan. While with N.C. Dance Theatre, McMillan danced World Premieres choreographed by Alonzo King and Dwight Rhoden.

Logan McSwain joins N.C. Dance Theatre as communications manager, where she will oversee public and community relations. McSwain is a 2005 graduate from UNC Charlotte where she graduated cum laude with a degree in communication studies and a minor in journalism. She studied dance for over twenty years and serves as guest choreographer for the Uwharrie Players. McSwain was previously communications manager at the Charlotte Museum of History.
