First Chance to Dance is the open house celebration of the Patricia McBride & Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux Center for Dance, the new home of North Carolina Dance Theatre.
Drop in for this exciting celebration and enjoy:
- FREE School of Dance beginner level dance classes in ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop and Afro-Caribbean. (ages 6 to adult)
- North Carolina Dance Theatre Company open rehearsal.
- Special FREE performance of Artistic Director Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux’s Shindig at 4:30 PM.

First Chance to Dance Schedule of Events
1-4:30 PM
Explore the Center for Dance and enjoy watching North Carolina Dance Theatre Company members rehearse. Rehearsals will be held in the Center for Dance’s 200-seat performance venue.
1-4 PM
Enjoy FREE beginner level School of Dance classes taught by members of the School’s distinguished faculty. Try one or take several of the 30-minute sample classes. No pre-registration required. Classes are first come, first serve. Classes are suitable for ages 6 to adult.
North Carolina Dance Theatre School of Dance is holding fall registration at First Chance to Dance! Anyone who registers for classes that day receives $10 off the registration fee or $10 off a dance card.
