Thank you for purchasing tickets to our upcoming performance of Nutcracker. The dancers have been hard at work during rehearsals and you are in for a spectacular performance!

Before you come to the theater, I wanted to share helpful information to make your trip easier. I hope you enjoy Nutcracker and have a great holiday season!

Cheers,

Ayisha McMillan

patron relations associate, aka “Clara” in 2005!

PS – Bringing a child to Nutcracker? Be sure to visit the Nutty Kids website first! They will learn about the performance, play Nutcracker games and meet many of the dancers.

Getting to Belk Theater

Directions - MapQuest directions to the theater to make your trip easier. Also, consider the LYNX Blue Line. There is a station only two blocks from the Belk Theater.

Entering the Theater - Due to construction at Founder’s Hall, the only place to enter Belk Theater is on Tryon St. between Fifth St. and Trade St.

Text Box: If you are coming to Nutcracker on December 19, 20 or 21, please note that College St. (between Fifth St. & Trade St.) will be closed.

Parking - There are four designated parking garages where you will receive a preferred parking rate of $5. Show your Nutcracker tickets to the parking attendant to receive this special rate. If your tickets are being held at Will Call, bring your parking receipt to the Blumenthal Box Office to be refunded the difference between the standard parking rate and the preferred rate.

There are events at the Time Warner Cable Arena at many of the same times as our performances, so be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to park.

At the Performance

Attire - Patrons are free to wear whatever they wish. Many dress in “business casual,” while some choose to dress up. Children and adults often dress in their holiday finery for Nutcracker.

Late Policy - Late patrons are seated in the back of the theater as long as seats are available. During intermission, patrons are allowed to go to their ticketed seats.

Merchandise & Nutcracker Boutique - Be sure to visit the Nutcracker Boutiques located on each level of the theater. A portion of the proceeds go to benefit NC Dance Theatre School of Dance. Also, NC Dance Theatre apparel (in both youth and adult sizes) is available and makes great holiday gifts!

Pictures with the Sugar Plum Fairy - Visit the Orchestra level of the Belk Theater to have pictures made with the gorgeous Sugar Plum Fairy.

Make an Event Out of It

Hotel - If you are traveling from out of town and need a hotel to stay in after Nutcracker, we recommend Crowne Plaza. Book it now online.

Restaurants - We encourage our patrons to make an event out of Nutcracker! Visit your favorite Uptown restaurant before or after the show. Click here for a listing of restaurants in Uptown Charlotte.
