The North Carolina Dance Theatre School of Dance and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte are offering an exciting program to college students that will enable them to earn an undergraduate certificate in ballet while pursuing a university degree.

Program Courses

Upon passing an audition for acceptance into the UNC Charlotte/North Carolina Dance Theatre program, students will take advanced level dance classes at the School of Dance In addition, some select certificate students will have the opportunity to perform with NC Dance Theatre’s Repertory Ensemble and in NC Dance Theatre’s production of Nutcracker and other full-length ballets.

The certificate program will expand the range of opportunities for those wanting a college education, as well as a high level of professional ballet training.

With the establishment of the second company, NC Dance Theatre 2, certificate students will have the unique opportunity to be considered for employment with this company.
