North Carolina Dance Theatre’s upcoming 2010-2011 Season marks our 40th Anniversary, and we plan to celebrate in style, with another year of wonderful family programming for Matinee Magic. This season’s Matinee Magic features a spooky ballet, a holiday classic and an underwater adventure!

From picking the perfect costume to amusing Halloween pranks, the spooky and silly Trick ‘R Treat takes kids on a Halloween adventure. Come along on this Halloween escapade, choreographed by Mark Diamond, and find out what happens when you dare to trick or treat at the old, creepy mansion in town! Young patrons are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes! |

Nutcracker, Charlotte’s favorite holiday tradition, celebrates the sights and sounds of the holiday season. This beloved holiday classic, choreographed by Artistic Director Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, transports audiences to a joyous holiday party, the majestic Land of Snow and the delectable Land of Sweets. No holiday journey is complete without a visit to Nutcracker! |

| Little Mermaid |
March 12-13 | Knight Theater
Dive into the underwater world of Mark Diamond’s Little Mermaid! The Hans Christian Anderson tale comes to life with colorful fish, sparkling seahorses, slithering eels and tumbling starfish. Despite warnings by her father, the Sea King, the Little Mermaid can’t help but to be curious of humans on dry land. After swimming to the surface one day, the Little Mermaid falls in love with a handsome Prince who she dreams of joining on land. Children of all ages will enjoy following the Little Mermaid as she discovers a whole new world! |
