From Miami, Melissa received her BFA in Dance from the University of South Florida. She trained at New World School of the Arts and spent summers with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Boston Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet and Chautauqua Ballet. Her mentors include Michael Foley, Marielena Mencia, Yanis Pikieris, Paula Nuñez, Sandra Robinson, Jeanne Travers, Gretchen Warren and Lynne Wimmer. In May 2010 Melissa’s choreography was selected by the American College Dance Festival to be performed at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
