Intermediate & Advanced Division (ages 11-18)

The Intermediate Division offers classes in ballet, pointe, modern and jazz to young adults ages 11-13. Students in this division are offered the opportunity to perform with the North Carolina Dance Theatre in Nutcracker and other full-length ballets such as Cinderella, The Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty. Year-end Spring Student Performances are held at the Booth Playhouse in the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center.

The Advanced Division offers ballet, pointe, variations, modern and jazz technique for ages 14-18+. Some students will choose to study in this division simply to enjoy the many benefits of dance training at this advanced level. Other students interested in a professional career in dance may be invited to transfer to the Pre-Professional Division from the Advanced Division.

All Intermediate & Advanced Division classes are held at the NC Dance Theatre Studios.
