AUDITIONS

Audition Detail
Registration begins 60 minutes prior to the audition. The audition will consist of an hour and a half ballet class, for which a non-refundable fee of $25 will be charged. Please bring pointe shoes, headshot and a photo of yourself in first arabesque position.

If you are unable to attend an audition in person, the School of Dance also accepts video auditions.  Please include the video audition form, the $35 fee, headshot and a photo of yourself in first arabesque. You may also audition for the UNC-Charlotte Certificate program by video. This audition also requires a $35 fee, headshot, photo in first arabesque and the Certificate program audition form (please include the same items as instructed on the summer audition form). Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like the audition tape returned. Video auditions must be received by February 17 to be considered. If you have any questions regarding the auditions, please contact the School of Dance at 704-372-3900.

Pre-Registration
North Carolina Dance Theatre does not offer pre-registration. However, we do encourage you to print our audition forms in advance and bring them, filled out, to the audition. This saves time for both you and Dance Theatre staff and ensures a smooth and speedy registration process.
