 Pennsylvania (3rd season)
Anna began her training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet with Marcia Dale Weary and was a feature performer in CPYB’s performing company. In 2004 she was invited by Jean Pierre Bonnefoux to apprentice with North Carolina Dance Theatre. She then joined the company the following year at age 16.
In 2001 Anna received the Pointe Magazine NERDA Award of Promise and in 2004 she was awarded the Barbara Weisberger RDA Founders Award of Excellence. She also competed in the Youth America Grand Prix where she received first place at regionals and was a finalist at the international level. Her favorite performing roles have been Marius Petipa’s Le Corsaire, Balanchine’s Who Cares?, and Dwight Rhoden’s Moody Booty Blues.
