Ballet pushes surprising limits in this collection of dance premieres. At Limitless, be the first to see contemporary works by choreographers Sasha Janes and Dwight Rhoden. Both are known for captivating choreography and challenging the dancers with daring moves. You will also be delighted by Artistic Director Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux’s dreamy and classically exuberant July’s Delight.

Charlotte’s favorite holiday tradition - Nutcracker - celebrates the sights and sounds of the holiday season. Bring your family and friends along for this holiday voyage featuring choreography by Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, live music from the Charlotte Symphony and over 100 performers. Be there as the Nutcracker Prince triumphs over the evil Mouse King and as the Sugar Plum Fairy entertains Clara, her Nutcracker Prince and the audience with dazzling dancing sweets.

You’re invited to NC Dance Theatre’s home, the Patricia McBride & Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux Center for Dance. The Center’s intimate 200-seat theater is the ideal venue for Innovative Works, giving you an up-close view of the dancers’ athleticism and passion exhibited in new works by choreographers Sasha Janes, Dwight Rhoden, Mark Diamond and David Ingram. Your experience is enhanced at a post-performance reception, where the audience can enjoy dessert and coffee while mingling with the dancers, choreographers and creative artistic staff.

Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux’s gravity-defying Peter Pan tells the story of the mischievous boy who never wants to grow up, his sassy sidekick Tinker Bell and the frightful Captain Hook. Escape to Neverland with this whimsical ballet and give your family an experience they will never, never forget.

Contemporary Fusion, an eclectic evening of dance, brings together the works of three choreographers including the return of Jiri Bubenicek. The talented young choreographer who last worked with Dance Theatre in March 2010 returns to create a work for the company. Jiri’s work is joined by The Golden Section, a crowd favorite by dance icon Twyla Tharp, and an encore of the luxurious Rhapsodic Dances by choreographer Sasha Janes.
